Valentines Day Ideas for Women on a Budget

Twelve Valentine Ideas for Women on a Budget

Just because you are divorced doesn’t mean you cannot have a great Valentine’s Day. Why not show yourself some self-love?

I have always believed in celebrating every holiday and that includes the big day of romance.

You may not have a significant partner in your life, but you can still celebrate yourself.

Try these inexpensive Valentine’s Day ideas:
  1. Eat dinner at home but go out for drinks and dessert. Forget the reservations and avoid the excessive cost of a meal dining out. Instead, cook a delicious meal at home. Then head over to a bakery or coffee shop for dessert.
  2. Roses can be expensive, so purchase a cheerful flower bouquet to cheer up your mood and home environment.
  3. Rent a movie and stay home for the night. It will be less expensive than going to a movie theatre. The popcorn, drinks, and snacks will also be less costly at home. Throw on some comfortable clothes and turn off your cellphone, i-pad, and computer. Allow yourself the quiet time to sit, relax, and enjoy the movie.
  4. Enjoy an indoor or outdoor picnic and invite a friend. If weather permits, find a park, lake, or beach. Otherwise, clear a space on the living room floor and have your picnic inside with your favorite foods.
  5. Look for free events or inexpensive entertainment at museums, art galleries, wine tastings, or live music at a bar or nightclub.
  6. Write yourself a love letter. Focus on all your positive qualities and characteristics and read it back to yourself.
  7. Throw a Galentine’s party and invite your girlfriends. Ask everyone to bring an appetizer to share and their own beverage.
  8. Go out for breakfast or a delicious brunch. It is the most important meal of the day, and usually the least expensive. Lunch is also a great option.
  9. Settle into your pajamas, grab a best-selling book, and a cup of soothing herbal tea.
  10. Light a scented candle, put on some relaxing music, and indulge in a warm relaxing bubble bath.
  11. Give yourself a home facial, manicure, and pedicure.
  12. Schedule a zoom reunion with children, grandchildren, or other distant family members.

You can have fun and a memorable Valentine’s Day and stay within your budget. Avoid being single and letting financial challenges ruin your holiday.

Blessings, Love, and Light,
