Meet Leslie Welch, CDC Certified Divorce Coach and Certified Spiritual Life Coach, founder of Heart To Soul Life Coaching in Atlanta. Her life’s work is a beacon of hope and healing for those navigating the difficult process of divorce and seeking renewal in body, mind, and spirit.
Following my journey through the gray divorce and loss of a 30-year marriage and identity, I began a deeply transformative healing process.
Starting a new business in a city, where you are not known is difficult. Fortunately, Atlanta has several networking opportunities for career-focused women. In the beginning, I was fortunate to meet some outstanding women through networking organizations. I give credit to Xperience Connections, a well-known women’s group in the Atlanta area. Attending those meetups, I met a lot of amazing women and have received a lot of referrals from those connections and friendships.
A year after my divorce I decided to move from Sarasota, Florida to the Atlanta area. My oldest son, daughter-in-law, and two grandsons were relocating to Woodstock. I knew a fresh start would be a good career move for my coaching practice. So at 56 years of age, I left the beaches for the city.
I love that Atlanta has so many wonderful parks to visit. Piedmont Park is nice for festivals. The Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Gibbs Gardens are so serene and peaceful My favorite place in nature is the Chattahoochee River National Bank or the Vickery Creek Falls. Stone Mountain is a nice drive and hosts spectacular events. The Ponce City Market is always a fun visit with its interesting variety of food and shops. The Fox is spectacular and I love going to the Broadway plays.

Divorce is a challenging life transition that can upend one’s emotional and physical well-being. It requires much more than just legal advice. Many of my clients need comprehensive support that addresses the emotional, spiritual, and physical dimensions of healing. After personally journeying through my own “gray divorce” and the conclusion of a three-decade-long marriage I was inspired to support others going through the stressful challenges of divorce.
In my life, I have faced numerous challenges, undergoing significant brain surgery and I am a cancer survivor. However, despite these immense struggles, nothing could have prepared me for the sudden dissolution of my marriage. I had been married for over thirty years and had never imagined my life without my spouse in it. Being left for a younger woman sent me into a whirlwind of emotions amplifying feelings of insecurity about aging and self-worth. The overwhelm of betrayal clouded my judgment, leaving me questioning everything I ever believed about myself and my marriage.
Divorce at any age can disrupt your sense of stability and your ability to think clearly. My world quickly spiraled out of control, and I was overwhelmed with so many different emotions. Stress, anxiety, loss, betrayal, humiliation, loneliness, anger, fear, and heartbreak. The feelings of confusion muddled my mind and made it difficult to see a clear path forward. I had so many questions and concerns.
My decision to pivot from owning a financial planning business to becoming a beacon of hope for others was born from a profound period of self-discovery. It was during this time that I realized my life calling was to help others heal and transform their lives. Deep in my heart, I knew transforming my pain and heartbreak into guidance as a Certified Divorce Coach would be immensely rewarding.
Over the past decade, I have earned numerous certifications, and delved deeply into various healing modalities, empowering me to help my clients forge new beginnings and recreate new identities.
I am certified in a variety of specialties, including CDC Certified Divorce Coach, CHCC Chartered Career Coach, QSCA Law of Attraction Life Coach, QSCA Reiki Master Teacher, and Akashic Record Practitioner. My coaching and healing certifications offer a rich reservoir of knowledge combined with a profoundly compassionate heart-centered perspective on the divorce process.
Spiritual practices play a crucial role in my coaching, enabling deep healing and offering insights that empower clients to navigate their divorce and life transitions with grace and strength. Reiki, a form of energy healing, helps in reducing stress, anxiety, and physical discomfort, thereby enhancing overall well-being. It complements the divorce coaching process by enabling clients to find balance and peace amidst the turmoil.
